This kit will reduce the file size of Color/Gray PDF scans; the amount of reduction depends on the content of the image being scanned.
The MX-EBX3 Enhanced Compression Kit will reduce the file size of Color/Gray PDF files. The range of compression is 40-80% as a general rule but results vary depending on the MFP and the image.
To use the compression feature for a scan; choose PDF and Color/Gray for the File Format and then check the Compact checkbox. The scan resolution will then be set at 300x300 dpi and compression ratio cannot be changed.
