October 22, 2009Be sure that the problem only occurs when printing from a computer (network involved) and not from making copies (no network involved). From the touch panel of the MFP do the following:SYSTEM SETTINGS > ADMINISTRATOR SETTINGS > PRINTER SETTINGS > INTERFACE SETTINGS > NETWORK PORT EMULATION SWITCHING > CHANGE TO PCL (DEFAULT IS AUTO).Note: If you come across the reboot/misfeed situation, please try this solution first. The next most likely cause is due to an AR driver being used instead of an MX driver. For example, an AR-M550N MFP is replaced with an MX-M550N (the next generation of the same machine), but the AR-M550N driver is still being used. We have found that just deleting the printer (AR-M550N) and installing the correct MX-M550 will NOT necessarily solve the problem. The AR-M550N driver should be completely deleted. See below for instructions on how to delete the incorrect or problematic driver. Please note, if installed and shared from a server, it is recommended that you give the share name a different name so that the new driver will be pushed out to the client workstations. Delete the printer. Go to Printers and Faxes (Control Panel). Click File, Server Properties. Click the Drivers tabClick the Remove button to delete the corresponding "AR" driver causing the problem. If you receive an error message, you may need to stop and restart the Print Spooler Service. Once removed, proceed by installing the most recent print driver from http://www.lesolsoncompany.com/sdriver.html.
