MFP Fax

March 29, 2012

Models: MX-2610N/MX-3110N/MX-3610N, MX-4110N/MX-4111N/MX-5110N/MX-5111N

Details: Checkbox under System Settings –> Image Send Settings –> Fax Settings –> Default Settings.

Description: If the checkbox named as Digital Line Network is ticked, the signal outgoing level of FAX is set to -15dBm.

In the past examples, when connecting the FAX machine to the IP telephone network, if the signal outgoing level was high, the communication trouble frequently occurred. There were many cases where technicians had to adjust the outgoing level with Soft SW of FAX every time this case happened.  For this reason, this setting has been added to new models to avoid communication trouble when connected to an IP telephone network. This setting can be changed in the MFP web page by the administrator.
